Hanging rail for kitchen cabinets-where can I get one two metres in length? I have a hollow or cavity wall and I want to hang my new cabinets on a wall rail--known more frequently as a hanging rail. I live between Crystal Palace and Croydon and would appreciate the address of a retailer who could provide such an item.

Does anyone know where I can get an additional hanging rail to add on to an existing one? I have seen advertised thingies that add extra hanging space in a wardrobe. You attach it on to the existing hanging rail and it provides another rail lower down, ideal for kids clothes or shirts etc. Try as I might I can't find one now and I need the extra space as my two young sons clothes are vying for space in their shared wardrobe. Clothes hanging rails - need advice on what metal rods I will need? We are wanting to dedicate a wall that is roughly (I can't find my tape measure) 12ft wide. to accommodate all our clothes. I need to know what type of metal rod I would need to use that would withstand such a heavy weight at such a long length. Alternatively if I should have to divide the length by 2 what should I need to buy to ensure that the rods do not bow. I want to put up a clothes rail in an alcove however both alcove side walls are plasterboard. How do I do it? Both the alcoves side walls are plasterboard (i.e. the two walls that the clothes rail will be attached to.) Can you drive while a person is hanging onto a roof rack and standing on a step rail? Basically I was driving and happen to see my friend walking out from school so we picked him up, but I guess he wanted to get a ride to his car by hanging on the roof rack while standing on the step rail... heated towel rail - stainless steel or chrome plated? Curved or straight? I am having my small en-suite bathroom replaced at the moment and need to purchase a heated towel rail for it. small cupboard with a hangining rail and a shelf! still congested cupboard!? I have a problem. I have a cupboard 1.5 metres wide,2 metres tall. it has a hanging rail, and 1 shelf half way down the cuboard, and space at the base of the cupboard. Is anyone else an ectomorph by personality, but not rail thin? I was looking at the different body types for fun and learned that my personality is exemplified by ectomorphs, those blessed rail thin folks who eat whatever and easily never gain much weight. But my body isn't rail thin. I have traits from all different types of body figures. I'm not naturally chubby, but not naturally thin. However, I have a lot of trouble gaining muscle. I'm still young and hanging onto depression/baby-fat weight. Is there anyone else like me?

I am planning on making my own wardrobes with just steel bars for hanging rails but need help on strength!!? I am looking on removing my wardrobe and fitting two steel bars to either side opf my walls to make 2 long hanging rails. the width of these hanging rails would be aprox 2 meters, however i am unsure wether they will be strong enough for my clothes (i have alot). My celing is plastic therefore i do not think i could have a bar supporting them from the celing. Has any body got any suggestions? Also is their a certain type of bars i should buy to do this? who is responsible for hanging curtains in modern houses? the underlying point is that when windows were made of wood they incorporated hooks to support the curtain rail-now the upvc windows leave no option but to screw in a curtain support and rail separately above the window incidentally i can see how the net curtain stretche after two nightmare days of being turfed out of bed by poles replacing the windows i was then left with no curtains i need the latest in curtain technology bearing in mind that the section above the windows seems to be composed of plasterboard and flakes when i try to insert a nail;who is responsible for this fiasco or have i finally become feeble minded?how much for the equipment or any other suggestions short of defenestration i can see how the net curtain stretched between the two hooks but i am damned if i can see how the two plastic bits with the screws through them secured the curtain my revered ancestors on both sides were builders and i have to admit that this question is beginning to seem like a wack job

Help with crib toy for a non standard crib rail? We are not interested in a mobile that hangs above the crib. We would really like one that attaches to the rail with buttons to push and music and lights. We never thought that when we bought a more modern crib with extra wide rails that finding a crib toy would be so difficult. All of the typical crib toys attach to the rail with straps that are too short for our crib. We even bought a toy that said "fits most crib rails" thinking it would work but sadly it did not either. What are these moths suddenly doing in my flat and ought I to get rid of them? At the weekend, I transfered all my husband's and my clothes from exposed hanging rails into a new wardrobe. Since then, I've noticed lots of little gold, dusty moths flying around the flat and generally just hanging out on the walls. I'm assuming they came from the clothes. Should I be worried? When hanging a picture do you center it on the wall or with the couch? I have a new picture that I just bought to hang above my couch. I am not sure to center it with the couch because it does not move and nor can it ever be moved because of the size and design of my living room. My other option is to center it with the a wall that is quite long, but because my house is a split bi-level the wall is on the same side as the entrance way and there is a railing there to divide the entrance and the living room. so I was thinking that I could center it on the wall but only center it between the railing and the other wall. I am not sure what the rule of thumb is. Hope someone can help me!!

How to drill into brick motar when drill bit will only go in 1/4"? My garage wall is brick mortar. I am hanging the rubbermaid Fasttrack rail (organizer). I was able to put one up but now when I drill the bit only goes in about 1/4inch. I am using a drill and bit designed for this material. It's like I am hitting something. I thought it might be rebar but doesn't that run vertically through the brick? I have tried hanging another rail a few feet below the one already up and same problem I can only get about 1/4" into the wall. If I was hitting rebar I should not have been able to place on directly above it. Suggestions would be great! As I am stuck with what to do next.

in the UK - getting quotes for £2,500.00 for sliding mirrored wardrobes is this about right? really struggling to get a decent quote for mirrored sliding doors (don't care if they are not sliding anymore) I want them floor to ceiling with hanging rails on 1 side & cupboard space on the other side, they are 2 large double wardrobes. Will my '99 Tacoma pass rust test? I have a 2in x 8in hole on the back side of the frame rail.? There are several other spots especially around all the welds and the tops of the rear shocks are barely hanging on. I'm from Kentucky and I know they used salt in the winter. The rust test is offered by toyota because of inadequate corrosion protection on the frame. They will give you 150% of blue book value for the truck if it fails. Got my letter from them yesterday, sounds like it will probably fail. Good for me its paid for!!

How can I hang plywood by its edge? I recently bought a kit for a sliding door. My wife saw a picture of a sliding door that consisted of a piece of plywood hanging from a rail. Since the picture didn't show exactly how the wood was connected to the sliders, I'm not sure how it was attached. If you've experienced problems with clothes moths in wardrobes & drawers, what products do you use to rid them? Does your wardrobe (timber, or other material) have good tight or close fit/seals around the doors and front of wardrobe cabinet? If you used products such as mothballs, camphor, lavender, (including ones in plastic cylinders that hang on hanging rails), were they very effective, and what was your experience with them? Have you tried anything else that was effective?

How to replace wooden batten for attaching curtains? Late 1950s house with wooden batten for hanging curtain rails, the wood is split in one room and won't hold anything. What's the best way to replace it? The walls are brick, with plasterboard on top. I'm not sure how the existing batten is attached; it's been painted and sealed so many times that I can't tell if it is glued on or held up with nails/screws.

I know the K was always the symbol for the strikeout but sometimes when the pitcher makes a lot of strikeouts in a game, some of the fans will watch and put up another K for each of them that the pitcher makes. Plz help, need ideas on a balcony garden? I have two small balconies (9'x3 1/2') and would like to get some flowers out there but with just one chair on each deck there is little room. Sliding a rail on skis? Ive been skiing for a while now and have finally gotten the hang of sliding the rails and coming off backwards at the end. Now id like to take it up a notch and jump off the ends of rails and boxes by doing a 270 or any other type of spin. I keep trying but can't get the hang of it. Can I put up a curtain rail with "No More Nails"? I have just moved into a new house and dont really want to be drilling etc, so I was wondering if "No More Nails" glue will hold up a curtain rail? One of those plastic rail type ones. Will be hanging normal type curtains - not heavy or anything. I should probably ad that the wall is a painted surface and the rail will be plastic. A painted plasterboard type thing - not brick! OK - and if No More Nails is rubbish - is there anything else I can use - except for drilling holes and screwing it on to the wall??

Is there a humane way to catch mice? I work in a rail yard which is a smorgasboard for little mices. Recently, since its summer time and all, the families have been coming into my office and hanging out. By the stapler, in the trash, wherever they feel like it. I dont really mind them, other than the poop and the fact that they may have diseases and what not. Is there a way to possibly catch and release? Or at least a somewhat humane way to kill them if necessary? Thanks!
